I have had the privilege of working with Dr. Wong as a Certified Orthodontic Assistant since the year 2000. Being in the dental industry for over 30 years, I welcome the new relationships who come into our orhodontic family and marvel at seeing patients becoming adults and now bringing their children into the practice.
When my husband, Gil, and I are not spending time with our 24 grandchildren, we love to dance, hike, cycle and communicate with our live-in international students.
I graduated from Grand Rapids Technical Center for Dental in 1996 with a Clinical assisting degree. I have been a Clinical assistant for over seven years, with a short break to raise my two children. I get to watch a smile transform from beginning to end. This is why I love working in this field. My family and I moved out west in 2002 and have called Seattle home since 2010. Go Hawks!
I was first a patient in Dr Wong’s office, and knew from my orthodontic experience here that I wanted to work in orthodontics. I am now a clinical assistant, and honored to work in this office, and know from personal experience that Dr Wong has excellent standards in patient care. I come from a family of seven making me a family orientated person. During my free time, I love to eat, trying new cuisines, spending time with family and friends, traveling.
treatment coordinator and marketing
I love meeting people at every age and stage of their lives. Building relationships with each patient, learning about their life, family, school, and work, is a pleasure. I enjoy educating people about orthodontics and how we can positively change their lives. I review proposed treatments with patients and parents, answer their questions, and make sure they have the information needed to make a decision that’s right for them. I also plan our marketing calendar and interact with our referring offices.
My husband and I have two kids, our world revolves around them most of the time! When not working, I practice yoga and love to roller skate!
I enjoy working one-to-one with patients and families — getting to know them on a personal level and becoming friends. It’s fun to see a person’s excitement at starting orthodontics and then watch them grow and become more confident as they see their new smile appear. The day the braces come off I’m right there, celebrating with them! As the financial coordinator, I review payment and financing options, and figure out the best way for a family to pay for orthodontics.
I live in Redmond with my husband Martin and four kids: Kaitlin, Emma, Claire, and Ben. Our entire family loves music. We are members of the Northwest Choir, Bellevue Youth Symphony, Baudboys, Vocalpoint! Seattle, Eastside Symphony, and many others!
I have been with Dr Wong since June 2000 when he opened his Orthodontic practice. I retired from the Financial Coordinator position in November 2013 but continue as office bookkeeper doing the books for Dr Wong's practice. I work mostly from home.
My husband, Curt, and I have a small sailboat and spend as much time as possible sailing. We are very fortunate that all three of our daughters and their families live close by so we see them and our six grandchildren on a regular basis.
I was born and grew up in Hawaii.
